Latrice Cooper is a self-taught artist based in Dallas, originally from Chicago. With no formal training, she began painting out of a deep need to express emotions that felt too complex for words.
Her work blends color, shape, and collage in minimalist, modern compositions. Rooted in her identity as a Black woman and scientist, her process is more instinct than intention — an emotional release that often reveals itself in unexpected ways.
She creates to feel, to cope, and to hold space for others to do the same.
