There’s a quiet rebellion in my work — a refusal to shrink my existence, my Blackness, my femininity, my quirks. My paintings are a way to understand the emotions I often find impossible to express through traditional language. They’re not just release — they’re a celebration of feeling itself.
I combine color, shape, and sometimes fragments of found imagery in collage form to explore emotion in its raw, quiet state. The compositions are instinctive, minimalist, and modern — guided by feeling, not formula. Even as a scientist.
At its core, my work is an allegory for coping — for what it means to exist, to feel deeply, and to piece yourself together one gesture at a time. I hope viewers find, within it, their own courage to cope, to feel, and to take up space unapologetically.
